On Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the afternoon conference (1:30-4:00 p.m.)* the City Commission will be discussing the status of South Side. Included will be a report on the public forum at the school site on January 28, 2017 when the City presented its current plan to use the building primarily for a Parks & Recreation office. The City offices would have exclusive use of the second floor with entrance facilities, kitchen area, exercise area, showers, and common area corridors and facilities on the first floor. The limited remaining first floor space would be made available for programming for public community use.

For those present at the forum who demonstratively opposed that use as contrary to the representation and covenants upon which this historic structure was acquired this would be your opportunity to let your voice be heard by those elected and empowered to act upon your requests, demands, and opinions.
